Exploitation of plant latex retrieval
systems that follow certain rules in order to obtain high production,economically profitable,and sustainable health with regard tanaman.Saat there
are two systems of exploitation,namely conventional and stimulation .
Conventional exploitation system is regular tap systems without stimulants (stimulant),whereas stimulation system exploits a combination of tapping
system using both stimulus.BesidesSelain the tapping system,there is also another
system called tapping tapping system micro puncture or tapping system .
Macro tapping system is a system of
skin prick on the path that has been given perangsang.Namun to discuss these three
systems of exploitation that takes not a little , for it was on this occasion
we focus on the discussion of the exploitation system stimulasi.Pelaksanaan
stimulation system of exploitation is heavier than a conventional system . Not
all clones could be called good if intercepted by the system stimulant . Among
the many clones are there , there is still not able to give a good response to
stimuli . As a rule of thumb , if the dry rubber content of the latex is
smaller than 30 % , then the response to stimuli not baik.Pemberian stimulation
with the aim of improving the production can be done on the rubber tree that
has been outstanding for more than 15 years.However,if using low intensity
tapping system ( S / 2 , d / 4/50 % or S / 2 , d / 3/67 % ),then the use of
stimulation can be started on the 10-year -old plants .
Giving without reducing the intensity
of stimulation leads will affect the growth of plants , especially young plants.Therefore,giving a stimulus to the young plants are not recommended .
Materials latex stimulant commonly used is the active ingredient Ethephon with
Ethrel trademark,ELS,Cepha .
Giving
stimulation of the rubber tree,there are three ways:
1
. For tapping the bottom,just below the applied stimulus material leads
slices . As for tapping the top,stimulating ingredients right in between
slices smeared lead . Before smeared with stimulants , tree bark should be
scraped first.

. Material is applied to the flow stimulator leads .

. Material is applied to the field of tapping stimulus , ie the skin layer
remaining above the cambium . This method is usually done on the plants to be
rejuvenated about 5 years later . Of the three ways listed above, which is
generally done by the penydap is the first way . Duration giving a stimulus to
the groove leads is two weeks or once a month . While tapping on the skin or
areas,stimuli given every month or two months. Method and frequency of
stimulation can influence the amount of stimulus that would be given . For
example , the provision of two months,the amount of stimulus required is 1.5
to 2 g . Amount of active ingredient in each time giving stimuli can be
calculated by the formula : ( weight stimulants x % x 1,000 mg formulation ).Example : In the 2 g Ethrel the formulation contained 5 % ( 2 x 5/100 x 1.000 )
= 1.000 mg of the active ingredient . Materials needed fillip to the flow

of stimulus material and formulas tapping,then the width of the track or

:

) Do not use the intensity leads more than 100 % at any time will be using
stimulus material .

) Do not use any stimulants at the time of the fall leaves and the formation of

) Do not use any stimulants in the dwarf rubber plant , plants with poor growth
, or the restoration of the skin is not good .

) Fertilization is done complete with a dose of potassium ( K ) which is much
more than usual ( without stimulants ) at 4-6 months before stimulated . During
the implementation of long- term stimulation , fertilization performed better
that the plant is able to maintain or increase production .

) The provision of stimulating materials only recommended on the plant over the
age of 15 years or on the skin recovered .

) Do not perform continuous stimulation during production because the plant
will reduce production and become weak . Stimulation is done for 6 years when
rubber production is maximal .
